Visit of Frigate 'Shtandart' during the Tsar Peter the Great Event of 13th - 17th July 2006.
These pictures give an overview of the event from the arrival of 'Shtandart' on Thursday 13th July till her departure on Monday 17th July. It also gives a good impression of all activities that were organized at the sun-drenched ship yard. The event can be considered as a daring exploit of the many volunteers and staff of 'De Delft', working from early in the morning till (very) late at night and not seem to be bothered by the heat wave.
At the left picture the volunteers Els Heyboer and Gerard Quint with Vladimir Martous, the Captain of 'Shtandart'.
For 1,5 year they have been busy with the preparations of this ambitious event.

Wim van Wijck, singer in 'De Delft' choir, took these pictures, giving an impression of the Russian choirs performing for an enthusiastic audience in the frameshop, for this event transformed into 'frame-theater'.
