| Our own Equipage 'De Delft', in their
authentic Batavian uniforms were present to show and demonstrate
the ins and outs of the 18e-century sea soldiers lives. Completed
with musket fire! |

| The weather was unpredictable and
often wet. Luckily the was no hard wind to spoil the event.
Gusts of wind can cause a safety hazard for both the shipwrights
and the audience. The photo in the middle shows the stem, waiting
to be put in place on the following day, September 30. |

This photo report on the mounting of the 10 meters high and
4,2 ton heavy stem, id proceeded by some sunny images of the
preliminary work earlier this month.
The pics below show the official setting of the stem in the
presence of a group of our most important sponsors
such as Smit en Kotug. 'De Delft' finally has become a front. |
