Frame nr. 6, erected at June 30
Photographs show frame 6 in the
frames shop and being transported outside beginning this week.
It was reassembled on the quay
Arie van Weijen is in charge on
this occasion. He takes special care of the adjustment of the
crane's hoist gear to prevent the frame from damaging.
Four helpers assist by steering the
frame by ropes. It is a tricky move across the quay from one
end of the crane to the other.
After checking the exact fit wood preservative is applied on
the wood joints by Jolanda en Dennis. Frames erected until now
are the numbers 11½, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7 and now number 6.
In a few week the beam, the biggest
frame, will be erected.
