A view of the model building island
where volunteers are constructing the 1:10 scale model.
In these pictures the job at hand is the construction of the
frames and joining them with the keel. The initial frames were
for try-out purposes and made of plywood in a rough size. Now
the hull is faired, they are replaced by oaken ones. Measurements
and separate parts of the frames are an exactly scaled copy
of those that will be constructed for the real ship.
